Inclusion Training

The “Back to the Future” project has been conducting a series of workshops on the inclusion of children with disabilities in its educational programs to more than 90 BLN and ECE teachers, facilitators, and educators.

The objective of these workshops is to address the existing assumptions and attitudinal barriers related to disability. Through a participatory approach, several topics were addressed, such as understanding impairment and disability, recognizing barriers and models of disability, identifying the skills and capacities of the children, and promoting a right-based approach to guarantee their active participation within the educational programs.

These workshops are part of the capacity-building activities implemented by Avsi middle east and Terre des Hommes Italy in Lebanon and funded by EU Humanitarian aid.
